Fonts and Colour

Last on the list should be fonts and colour, but I’ve decided to do this now.

I’m going to be creating some graphics using StanceWorks branding as a loose guide. I’ve decided to adopt their main logo font “Times New Roman”. I was gobsmacked when I saw this what what they were using. It seems like such a boring font, but it gives off a great vintage feel and class when used for their logo.

I’m going to be pairing this with Bebas Neue, a sans serif that compliments the serif of Times New Roman. It will be a logo and overall branding font, but i’m not sure I will be using it for any of the main text. I’m going to experiment with both serif and sans-serif until I’m happy that one of them in stronger.

In terms of colour I’ve decided on white and blue, with possible cream/gold accent. I was half tempted by monochrome for this project and to let the images of the cars do the talking, but I feel this would look a bit bland, and a B&W site just wouldn’t suite this event. It gives off a formal vibe which the show doesn’t have. The show is overall meant to come across as a fun, enjoyable get together for petrol head fans.
