Practice for BDC

Here is an index sheet from another trip to Lydden Hill that I took last Saturday. This was a practice day for BDC. I made sure to take more of an advantage of the open access pit lane area this time around. I'm very chuffed with one of the images which can be seen below. I used the editing skills learned from the previous tutorial I posted up to bring the lighting from being flat to dynamic. Its pin sharp and I think the high contrast b&w style really suits it:

I think this has cured my disappointment from the images I took at KOTR. The smoke tells such a better story of whats happening! The only thing I don't like about this picture is the angle of the front wheel. I think more angle would have added a bit more drama to the photo but none the less I'm pleased. I tried very hard to give this image enough grey in the background to have the high white and blacks really stand out on it. The amount of detail on the uncompressed original image is incredible thanks to my new Canon 7D camera and 50mm 1.4 lens.
