Evaluation

Project no.2 is now over. I definitely feel a lot more confident in my work from this project compared to the previous 'WordPress' project. I was allowed to use one of my true passions to express myself and document a subject I have recently got involved in. I have always loved photography and I'm glad to have been given the chance to produce some work for my degree using it. Although I've done a lot of photography in the past there were still a lot of challenges to overcome as with any shoot. The environments I shot in were not controlled. I just worked with what I had and made the most of it. I think this is the key to documentary photography as a whole.

I'm disappointed in the fact I didn't get round to organising any video shoots. I think that would have raised my satisfaction level considerable, but none the less I'm happy with the photos I've produced. The short video found in my post titled 'canibeanz' encapsulated the audio format I would've gone for throughout the 3 videos I planned to produce. Short interview followed by engine/ tyre noise. Something for another project I suppose.

Overall the experiences I've had during this project have been phenomenal. I've attended some great events, got to go drifting myself and networked with the people involved at all levels. I can see myself undertaking this project again in the future, focusing on the grassroots drift style again. I would love to travel the country documenting the British drift culture. Maybe even produce a photo book of my findings! Thanks to all those who've been subjects and mentors for this project.
