I have been routing around for some decent tutorials on b&w photograph editing. It's something I've not done a lot of so I was wondering what the pros did with theirs to get images to 'pop'.

In this video, by French photographer Serge Ramelli, he shows how he gets the most detail out of a single RAW image file. He also shows how even flat light images, that i would usually consider putting in the bin, can be bought to life through the use of the brush tool in Lightroom.

Serge comments upon how you must not over edit the image. The key is subtlety, using the pen tool sparingly and gently to give a natural light effect. It has taught me a lot about photo editing and I look forward to using the techniques he has shown on my own images.
